Traditional Pole tent is commonly known as the big top tent that dates back to old circus style.  The traditional pole then has a vinyl top and is supported by poles located under the center of the top.  This is then tensioned over side and corner poles.  On a larger traditional pole then you will have secondary poles known as “hip” poles and “quarter” poles to aid in supporting the vinyl top.
